The Best Corn Maze in America Is in Levant — and It's Going for Five Straight

There are plenty of reasons people around the Penobscot Valley know Treworgy Family Orchards — apples, berries, pumpkins, doughnuts, ice cream, and generations of families spending an afternoon on the Levant farm. But something happening in the cornfield deserves the spotlight right now.

Treworgy's corn maze has been voted the best corn maze in America four years in a row in USA TODAY's 10 BEST Readers' Choice Awards, taking the number one spot in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. Add in earlier appearances and last year marked the eighth time the maze earned a place in the national Top 10.

Stop and sit with that for a second. Not the best in Maine. Not the best in New England. The best in the country — four consecutive years — grown in a field in Levant.

And they're going for five. The 2026 maze is open now, with Treworgy's once again in the running for the national title. Each maze covers four acres, with roughly 60,000 corn plants forming the pathways, stations, and a brand-new design the farm family creates themselves every year.
